programed the truck today. testing these settings:
performance
speed limiter(superchips pre-set) ...what exactly is the top speed set at? the book doesn't say.
rpm limiter (sc pre-set again)
29" wheel adjustment
results later this afternoon
would like to know any input on what works best.on your v6

I have the V8 though, but I have mine set at perfromance level with rev limiter raised and speed govener raised. I dont know what thetop speed is now, before it was 185kms. I'm not gonna go that fast to try it out. I cant afford a ticket if I get caught.
but make sure you run on premium and have a 180 stat.

took it out for a run, weather is too bad for driving fast here in columbus ohio. it would be a rare day for me to go past 80 but i may try to get to 120mph once this summer out on I70 on a trip to kirkersville to watch some 1/4 mile races at the track.
i babied it for a few miles listening for pings and watching the rpm's.
out on the main road i noticed an immediate improvement in responce and quicker acceleration that wasn't there before.
best range seems to be from 25 to 55 mph.
several times i pushed the pedal down all the way traveling at 30mph. It went to 65 pretty quick but it still shifted with some room left on the rpm gauge. however one time something slipped and i had to let off when the rpms went into the red and the truck wasn't accelerating much. i was concerned i may need to adjust the rpm limiter but it did not happen again.
considering putting my own rpm setting in before running again.
