Default RE: towing load range

The lowest tow rating for a 2001 Dakota (reg. cab) with a 2.5 I-4 is still 2,250lbs.

The 2001 Dakota Quad Cab 4x4with the 5.9L can max out around 6,100lbs with 3.55axle and tow package.

Mine has the 4.7L and I tow a 3,000lb pop-up camper with the truck fully loaded (5people plus gear) you won't even notice
a 800lbs boat. I have also towed a 26' sail boat with no problem ( I have no idea what it weighed)

Go to the above site and Click the -TECH button, then click tow ratings and they have ratings for all vechiles from 1999 to 2007.

Have fun on the boat.

Lol bro throw some 4.56's in that bitch and you could probably tow 8 of them at the same time.
