What is the best on/off road tire?
Everyone at the local discout tire is running yokohama geolandar at+IIs or whatever they are. I was going to get the BFGs but they talked me into the Yokos and I've been really happy.
I think id probably drive 80 on/ 20 off, but i love the aggressive looks to all terrians. Ive heard good things about the yokos, but i just felt bad about putting forign tires on an american truck lol, stupid i know but still. I wanted to keep the all-american theme. Besides, they dont make a 285/75-16
I've run BFG AT KOs for years. they seem to be the best all around tire for what i do. i usually get about 40 to 45,000 miles out of them on a light vehicle. They are well mannered on road without excessive hum and stick like glue off road.

I've got approximately 35k miles on my yokos and there's still a good many miles left on them, and my truck's not exaclty light. Oh, Tirerack doesn't seem to carry the AT+II, but they've got an AT/S or some such thing that looks similar and it does come in a 285/75 for $125
only complaint about my bridgestone a/t duehler revo's is about 25,000 miles on them so far and i know il have to replace them before auguest ( inspection).. i love em but 25,000 isnt enough for just a little over a year
I have been working for Goodyear for 13 years, I may be sort of biased but the NEW Wrangler w/ Silent Armor is frigging AWESOME!! I am in the process of buying a 2002 dakota 4dr 4X4 and it has brand new Cooper ATR, they will soon be replaced with Wrangler Silent Armors, anyone want to buy theCoopers? Cheeap. Seriously, look into the Goodyears, they have 2 yearsroadside assiatance and 50K warranty. Good Luck
