That's exactly what I'd been led to belive about the factory fan set up,but the guys at KRC were saying that it takes 10hp all the time. I think they just wanted to sell me a fan kit! As you said, I think it would be fine for most of the year but as we are being promised a hot summer this year, I'll wait till the Autum (Fall!) forthe fan butI hope to put the 180 stat in this weekend. Can anyone explain to me what a Flex-a-lite is?

it's a flex fan, it flattens out at higher rpm to reduce drag.
