Default rear right brake shoes

for some oddball reasons, the cable guide on the right rear shoe on the trailing shoe, wont stay on causing the auto adjuster lever to not function properly... anyone have any suggestions how i can get this part to stay without worry?

haha i asked my diesel tech instructor if thats possible but cant since it needs to rotate in place so stress can be relieved off the adjuster arm, the way its set up is the cable guide sits in the same hole that the return spring goes in, real crappy design

Mine also would not stay on,.. They were stretched. Bought new ones,.. Works fine now.
I really believe those rear brake assemblies are a horrible design. What a mess.
