Default Reverse and Ticking

So now that i've actually gotten to drive the dak all day today i've noticed two things that id like some opinions on. First there is a ticking coming from like the passenger side of the dash/window area it only does it when its in gear, when its coasting in neutral or i have the clutch in it goes away. Second it is really hard to get into reverse sometimes. I have to really jam it down in there...and its not all the time just sometimes. Thanks for any help.

PS. Also the stupid place only replaced the front shocks so now i have stock ones in the front and ranchos in the back which makes for a pretty ****ty ride..is there anything that this could mess up or harm...i dont think they will replace the rear shocks unless i break them and i dont really feel like paying for new oem ones...i guess i can deal with the ride jw if it could mess anything up.

alot of times 5 speeds are kinda hard to get into reverse. It can happen if youre slightly uphill, it makes it harder for the tranny to get into reverse.

ah not all five speeds are like this but Dakotas are about the worst 5 speed gearbox ive driven...idk if its the syncros the gears or the clutches they put in, i think if you were to put in a heaver clutch and throwout upgrade the syncros it has potential the ratios on the gears isn't bad...
