Has anyone tried putting an electric sunroof in their dakota? If so how hard was it, and did you have to reweld your top ceiling bar?

Sounds cool - I know it came as a factory option in some of the Dakota's. I'm not sure i've ever heard of anyone doing their own though. I'm not sure if i'd feel comfortable sawing away at my ceiling.

its not a bright idea, you lose the strctural integrity of the truck, the support beams in the rof help stbalize the cab and the frame rails as well, i wouldnt screw with it if i were in your shoes, plus you have the rusting issue

I'd say if its done right, then go for it. just make sure it doesnt look like a hack job.

That should be your main concern right there.
