Clogged Muffler?
Would a clogged muffler cause a problem in acceleration? Im pretty sure the engine still runs fine, it just has slow acceleration, I can get the truck going 160-170 on flat (It is the v6 so it has little power.) But it has problems accelerating. I get going to 100km's per hour in about 15-17 seconds (60 miles) So I am wondering if a clogged muffler would do this, My cat converter was clogged previously, I removed it fixed my idle issue. But Acceleration is very slow. I would like to fix it. Should I strait pipe it or just buy a new exhaust.

RE: Clogged Muffler?
How do you clean out the PCV Valve?
|
RE: Clogged Muffler?
cut the cat off

ORIGINAL: BAnders cut the cat off |
RE: Clogged Muffler?
I wouldnt clean the PCV Valve. I'd replace it, cleaning it just opens it up for a little while then it will clog up again shortly anyway. Easier replacin it.
