I would be taking your door apart and looking if some latch or something has detatched. Hopefully you don't have electric locks. Will make your life easier.
Mine will do the same thing on occasion. I fiddle with the electric lock switch on the door panel and it will open. I suspect either the lock rod is bent or binding somehow. I'll have to tear into this week.
