Default Dakota R/T 1/4 mile times & modifications!!

Ok, i just wanted to get an idea of what other Dakota R/T's run and what it takes to get them there. Post you best 1/4 mile time & speed and the modifications it took to get it there.

MINE: 14.7 @ 93.8 w/ Mopar PCM, Gibson Headers, AEM Brute Force Intake, & anElectric Fan.
Now i have the M1 Intake installed with Summit Racing Traction Bars& am about to install my custom 53mm port & polished throttle body. I'm going to the track again on the 15th of this month so i will update this then. Thanks!

thats 53 is overkill... i would have went with a billet 50mm or 52fasrman.. 53 is going to kill your low end torque and times..

never had mine to the track yet..

still want to get some other things done, like Mopar PCM and TB, along with a electric fan,

do you know th numbers your putting out? Ive got about 275rwhp/345rwtq..

Not sure about hp right now, i'd like to think around 275 or 280 with he M1 on it. Krc Performance dyno tested the mopar PCM to provide 0.1 hp & 28 ft/lbs of torque along with removing the top speed limiter so i know my torque is above the factory 345 ft/lbs. I have read several reviews that the stock throttle body ported to 53mm works good withthe 360. I won't be putting it on until i get to the track and run the M1 a few times (test & tune). If the 53mm is too much, i will port out another one to 52mm and sell the 53mm. All in thime though, we'll see.

I apologize, it still has the cat on it right now without any mufflers. We don't have emmissions here (south GA) & my truck is daily driven & raced on weekends. If (or when) the cat blows out i don't think i'll be putting one back on. I have a 1997 V8 5 speed 5.2L dakota for sale with straight run no cats and it is the best sounding truck i have ever heard in my life. Its so loud its hard to get people to race me at redlights!

lol ya, right now i just have flow pro with a dump before the muffler, still have cats, and with the great throttle response i can bark the truck at people on the side of the road... very load makes them jump.. its fun somtimes.

I'd like to dump mine before the cat, that would be crazy loud! That would actually roar at people!
