I have had some annoying issues with the A/C operation on my 2001 Dakota. Chances are it has to do with the different actuators (blend door, mode door, and recirculation door), and possibly the blower motor switch as well.

I've priced these actuators & its not too bad; the labor is the killer. I'm pretty handy and have removed much of the dash in a prior stereo installation, so i think i can tackle this task, but......

Any advice and/or experience with this sort of thing from anyone?

all I have to say is good luck! taking the dash out is a PITA

 

PITA I can deal with, but ... any specific difficulties or advice? How about replacing these actuators? Is that a big challenge?
