i know someone who had a 318 in an old challenger with a cracked block and he drove it around for 9 months till it finally blew. i wouldnt try that with a 4.7 though, they dont make them like the 318's anymore. i'd say find a used engine or just get a new one and have a good mechanic do the swap. you dont wanna get stranded somewhere because your motor siezed.
