Default Unkown sound and problem---HELP

Riding into work today I heard and felt a loud noise. I feared a flat tire when I arrived. The stearing became a bit tighter but not so bad that I couldn't easily maneuver. I have no clue what happened. Any ideas?

If it was a loud POP and shakes the truck kinda.. my money is on the balljoints, it also could be a shifting control arm, had an alignment lately?

Also if your steering gets tighter then like jonny said loose tierod or bad one, can make the steering wheel shift directions and get tight.

What year is thetruck? And how many miles?
