Default no power

Here's the deal,
Whenever i try to take off, whether it's cruising away from a stop sign or jumping into traffic
I sometimes have almost no power in first gear, full throttle.
it feels like it's in second or even third gear sometimes.
When i got it back from the trans. shop in the fall for a new clutch, they noticed that it still "grabs" at the top of the pedal and couldn't find a cause.
The problem has gotten really bad lately.
anybody want to chime in?
truck info in my sig

Heh, Not sure with manual transmission. Did they check the plates when you put the new clutch in? The Springs? If the clutch is the same in a car as a dirtbike than check that. Maybe your clutch cable is worn? I am guessing something is causing the clutch to engage in 1st at high revs. I know my truck has no power in first gear it's a v6 but it still has no power, but I think it's a engine related issue now like timing chain and valves or rocker.
