vibration in the dash

Default vibration in the dash

anyone run into this problem, with the truck in drive , at a stop with the engine idling, theres a vibrating noise comming from the right side of the dash, happens in my 01 and same problem in my buddy's 02.. what is this?

i think a lot of the dash is held in by just clips, possibly a loose/broken clip i dunno just a guess

Good call. Try removing the dash, then reinstalling it. Make sure to check for damaged attachment points. Run the truck with the dash off and see if the noise continues.

aright thanks guys, just got to the point where i noticed the noise is in 2 different years now, my normal fix, turn the radio up

ha yea i had the same problem i took my whole dash out to get at thecig lighter wiring and to get my deck out to hook up an amp and besides the bottom which were screws the whole thing was just clips, ive taken it out a lot recently and its starting to vibrate so i think the clips are just worn down now, have u taken the dash off at all before?

yea, just the drive kick board, the console cover and the middle kickboard, and i know those things were reinstalled properly with no broken clips, etc, it sounds like the vibrations are comming from the top right of the dash, near the windshield
