not sure about your dak but on my 01 ram its under the dash, just to the right of the gas pedal, mounted to a metal bar. its a black plastic box about 4 x 3 x 1 inch, with, i think, 2 wiring harnesses plugged into it. i unnecessarily replaced mine over a $#@# 50 cent fuse for $120. inside the plastic box is just a circuit board which also contains the chimer/dinger speaker on it.
