Default tranny slip

I have a 2002 Dakota 4.7, a couple of months after I bought it "new" I noticed it shifted (down shifted) hard, but only sometimes. I could not duplicate it for the dealership (of course). Now after 75,000 miles it seems to be getting worse. Has anybody experienced this??
And has anybody ever tried "Lucas transmission fix" additive??
Thanks

Did you try resetting the computer, and allowing it to relearn? That stuff only swells up the gaskets and allows them to be take up more space (Once they are worn.) This might be a band adjustment or just in need of a service. Front and rear. Of course the rear band has to be under the pan. You can do it yourself but they have a way of adjusting the front one under the pan precisely.

How do I know if it's the tranny or something with the fuel system?? Could the fuel system cause rough shifting symptoms??
