Default headlight issues

need help! '97 dakota sport - made in Canada. DRL module disconnected when I bought the truck. When I plug the module back in the lights come on and stay on all the time until I disconnect the DRL module again. I could live with this BUT when driving, after about 20 minutes the regular headlights (high & low beam) will flash. When I turn them off for a few seconds they willoperate OK for another few minutes. Finally the high beam in dash indicator not showing in high beam. Headlight switch? Multi-function switch? or DRL module? Any or all of these? Please help!

Why don't you just leave the DRL module disconnected than?

Yeah, I have no problem not having DRL's BUT even with the DRL module disconnected the headlights will flash in a regular pattern after about 20 minutes of driving. Thenafter I turn off headlight switch for about 20seconds the headlights will stay on for a few more minutes then start flashing again. And as I said all this happens with DRL module disconnected. Weird Hey?Still need help!
