2wd suspension up's
I have a '00 rc 2wd that I was going to replace the shocks on, looking at Monroe reflex series, the local parts store has them on special, then I thought about maybe a light 2" sus lift. I checked online as well as ebay and found an add a leaf and spacer kit for under $100. Anyone have experience with these sort of cheap kits? I am not looking for much but I wondered if I could run the stock shock length or should I go longer? There are also coil springs again for under $100 that claim a 2 inch lift, I would expect their quality is a little low and will maybe sag some, so again would the stock shock length work? If the add a leaf and spacers will work I will likely go with that.
I am running 245/70/16 tires on the truck already which looks a little tall for the stock height, but its only a 2wd so I don't want to go extreme just yet.

The thing is, there isn't a lot of better lifts out there that I can find. Fabtech makes one but you can't use OEM wheels apparently because of the offset.
So if I can achieve the same result (2") with an add a leaf and spacer or springs up front I would go that route over the fabtech setup as I am not looking to get new wheels.
I don't do harsh off roading, its a 2wd that I use for daily driving and some light trails for fishing and back country camping.
