Default RE: tranny swap questions

I think it will. But you should ask before doing the swap. The Tranny might be the same model but have a different bolt pattern? I don't know But It should be the same. Mind you these trannies aren't very strong. If you are buying this tranny brand new, okay it might last. Mine failed twice within 9k km's. so like 1.5 oil changes. (But have changed twice since.) The band is basically shot. It might be better to get your tranny rebuilt with heavy duty parts or look for a 46re, which is believe is strapped onto the r/t model. With my experience with dodge trannies, they are one of the worse ones especially the 42re. It is basically a car tranny slapped on with a od unit. Hope this helps.
