2400 Stall
Moe in Wichita, Kansas. with a stock cam a high stall converter do nothing but kill your gas milage. a rear end gear change may be a better idea. but if you do much hi way driving dont go lower than 3.73. i checked with my mechinic, he said a gear change would cost $900-$1000. and then i would need someone with a special computer to reprogram the speedo, and lockup clutch. i havehad highly moded stuff, but in this day i think stock isnt to bad.
I'll be puttin in 4.10's and a stage 2 shift kit.
Most likley a M1 4bbl Intake and 1000CFM throtle body as well. As for the speedo change I'm just gonna get a Hypertech Programmer.
How will the converter work?? Will I notice a difference?

I had a hypertech and it only did tire sizes not gear. And if you're going to spend the $$$ on an intake, I would get the Edelbrock FI Airgap intake instead of an M1. http://www.hughesengines.com/general/5309.pdf The 2400 stall would be fine in a stock dakota but I would only do it if you plan on putting in a performance cam. I would personally buy a cam/intake or gears/shift kit before the stall convertor.
