new to forum, A/C problems
i have a '98 dodge dakota.
when i start driving the A/C works GREAT! thensometimes 3-5 minutes later it doesnt cool anymore and just blows hot air. then i turnthe A/Coff for a few minutes and turn it back on, it starts blowing ice cold air. this happened to me in the summer of 2004, buthasnt failed like this until now.
in 2004 i took it to the dealership and the tech couldnt find anything wrong. the A/C decided to work fine when the tech was looking at it. i had the right amount of pressure for freon.
When i left the dealership, it stopped working on me again. i immediatley took it back and the tech said the "clutch was stuck". i had no idea what it meant but the shop was closed and if i wanted it fixed i would have to leave it for a few days. needless to say i haven't had any problems with until now.
does anyone know what i am talking about?
