Default ball joints again

I know it was a recall or TSB (one or the other) for 4wd trucks. Is this something that was supposed to be replaced on 2WD trucks? Is this something Dodge would replace under warranty anyway? My truck has 68k miles (7/70 warranty!) and I think I have some ball joint / tie rod issues. I feel clicking or something in the steering, it won't center even after a front wheel alignment and the steering sometimes has trouble returning to center easily.

Any insight??? Thanks.

Tie rod ends, inner and outer, are easy as pie to replace on the 2wd's. 10-15 min for each outside one and 20-30 for the inners, cuz of the stupid boot clasp ishard to get on/off. Very very easy maintainance. Just take a measurement from a tread on one tire, to the tread on the other tire. When you're donewith 1 side, adjust the tire rods until the measurement is the same. Then do the other side and re-adjust when you're done with that side. If you try and do both and then get the measurement the same, it doesnt always center up with the steering wheel.

Your alignment won't be perfect, but it will be close enough to get it to an alignment shop with no problems.
