Default rear end upgrade

Can anyone tell me if the 9.25 rear ends out of ram 1500's are the same as the 9.25's out of the dakota's? I am currently looking to replace my 8.25 with a 9.25 and see alot out of RAms, but not so many dakota ones. Or maybe even some jeep axles....?

i dont think it will work because the ram rear end looks wider to me. the 8.25 isnt a bad rear end, but dont go with the jeep axle cause the jeep axles use straps and you will break the u-joint really easy.

Yeah the 8.25 isnt bad, but I see alot more options as far as lockers and such for the 9.25. I want a locker, more splines, and beefier diff cover with added fluid capacity is why I am looking. off to the wrecking yard again I guess.

Yank one out of an R/T, will already have a good setup in it too.
