Default HO 4.7L or not

I recently acquired a 2004 4.7L Dakota Sport 4x4 and the throttle response and power of this engine "seems" to be noticeably more than the 2005 4.7L Dakota 4x4 I had a year ago. The VIN build sheet from the dealer does not list the engine as HO (I do not have the code with me) but as "xxx - New Generation 4.7L Magnum". Does anyone know how to definitively tell whether I have the HO engine or not? TB part number or intake part number?

Thanks!

under the hood were it tells you the engine specs. write it down and go to www.allpar.com. they have an engine decoder that will be able to give you the info you need. and if it is not in the system yet, then the parts dept. at any dodge dealership could give you the info

The 05 had 3.73 and the 04 has 3.92. This may be the difference but, it "seems" like more than that across the full RPM range. I will check with Dodgeon the engine specs after getting the code(s) from the sticker under the hood.

Thanks!
