Default lifting a 2000 4x4

I have a 2000 dakaota 4x4 extended cab that i am trying to lift a little at a time. this year i want to just do a 3" body lift and blocks in the back and tighten up the torsion bars. I was told that i can get arond 3" from the torsion bars, i turned them all the way up and got about 1 3/4" . is there any way to get more out of them or do i need to buy replacement keys for them?

I have never heard of anyone getting more than 2" out of the torsion bars.

only way is to get torsion keys -- but they max out at 3"

the durango and dakota are the same and i done the torsion thing and got 2 1/2 now you have to turn them and the drive it a bit and mesure it again to get the real hieght i have a 2000 durango and the lift kits are about 600 more for the 2000 then the 99 because of the rack and pinion steering so depending on what you have most companies have them if you call them they will tell not alot listed in wheeler mags they rang from 2300 to 4200 hen i priced themkinda high i thought
