removing stock air box

Default removing stock air box

i am trying to put in a cold air intake in my 2004 dakota with the 3.7 v6 . the problem having is that i can't seem to get the the bolt off that is by the headlight. what do i need to use? i tried removing it with a 6 point socket but the bolt just turns and doesn't come out.
please help thanks

If you're talking about that plastic nut, then you can just pull up on it. I had to do that with mine too.

i had to do the same thing for mine. its pretty simple.

Where is the cold air coming from??? It's getting air from under the hood, right? It would be just as good putting in an Air Hog or K&N.

actually now that i think about it my cai went right into the stock air box. i have the airaid one. so i dont actually have to take the box off

Grab the bracket the plastic nut is holding downand pull the whole thing up.
