Default '99 dakota acting REALLY strange........

Yesterday on my way to work, my truck was running just fine no problems at all. I pull into work and I notice that my ABS light is on and my 'brake' light? Also, the spedometer stays at zero until you get up to about 50 MPH(?????). We did get about 2 inches of rain the other night and I had to act like a kid and drive my truck through a partially flooded street (covered with about 3inches of water) and water was about 6 feet above the cab. Don't know if that knocked something loose or what! Any ideas??

rear wheel speed sensor, it controls the speedometer and engages rear wheel abs, its a 50$ part and is located on top of the rear differential

Whew, I hope that works! That sounds like a pretty easy task. Could the water have affected that?

if the connection wasnt tight the water could have gotten in and shorted it out, but they do tend to go from time to time anyway
