Default Blown engine

I have a '01 Dakota with a blown3.9 6cyl. and am thinking of getting it back on the road. I have a chance to get a working5.2 out of a wrecked 1999 RAM. The RAM was hit in the passenger side by a semi and all the damage is from the cab back, so I assume the engine is fine. How hard would it be to put that engine in my Dak? What would I need besides the engine, I have access to all the parts of the RAM, it's my mom's new boyfriends and the frame is broke.

If you have the donor truck to work with, you should be in great shape. You will need the wiring harness, rear end, new driveshaft, motor/tranny, etc. Also, I hope you have access to a welder and decent mechanical skills to make this happen. Get ready to have a serious project on your hands.

I never even change the oil. I got a buddy I work with that's good with stuff like that though. He can weld too. Maybe I can talk him int doing it. He's always looking for projects he can do. He does all the work on his vehicles.
