Truck Feels Wierd
I know the description for this post is a little generic, but I recently bought a 1999 Dodge Dakota Sport 4x4, Fully Loaded for 7500$, had all of the service records, parts reciepts, and 4 brand new Trail Cutter R/T Tires. Run great other then when I pull out and stand on the gas pedal, it pulls good, then about halfway through any gear, its like the motor hits a deadspot, feels like its not pulling good, then a few hundred more rpm's go buy, and it rockets away. Almost like a hesitation halfway through the torque range. Keep in mind it is a 5 speed, 5.2 L v8, but I've pulled the tranny, and looked at the clutch assembly, looks almost new, in conjuction with a shop reciept for replacing it from the previous owner. Any ideas?
nice lookin dak looks just like mine cept i have an extended cab and the 4.7 and like jonny said id clean off the tb and if that doesnt help maybe replace the cat or something maybe its clogged...mine seems to take off like 2200 if i punch it before then it just kinda goes then rips when it gets there i think i lost a lil low end tho when i got my exhaust and cat on...nice looking truck tho
