How do i know if i have the factory infinity sound system or not? Cause i have the stock speakers in it with an aftermarket head unit. How do i figure this out?

 

look at the speaker connectors. if they are factory speakers there should be some type of wire connection convertors.

 

er... didnt the infinity package include tweeters, amp, and infinity stamps on the speakers?

If im not mistaken i think if you have infinity you can locate the amp under the driver side kickpanel (I THINK) or if you have tweeters or you should be able to take out one of the speakers and look at the info on the back of it. Also if you have an extra harness laying in your dash from the a/m headunit you do.. and again if you installed the headunit and the speakers still worked, then you probably dont have it, installing a a/m radio with a factory amp you will have to do some custom wiring

 

I have the Infinity system in my 2000. It has the Infinity logo stamped on the tweeters on the doors.

 

yeah, same here.

the door speakers are shiny and say infinity on them, and there are tweeters in the front, on the doors, that say infinity on them. :P

also, when I hooked up an aftermarket radio, my speakers quit working. you have to hook up the wiring harness a little different. Hook up the truck's power antena wire to the amp switch wire on the head unit's harness.

By what i just read, i dont have the package. But, the factory speakers sound pretty good. Thanks for the info everyone.
