what are helper leaf springs? i've never heard of them. i've heard of the add a leaf to give a little lift, but they make for a stiff ride.

i've heard people talking about cranking the tbar. but they say it makes the steering poor, and the truck usually pulls afterward. ? ?

well I got mine in and all they do is bolt to the bottom of the leaf springs. basically all they do is clamp the bottom leaf to all the others so it makes it stiffer. it raised mine a good inch. it rides sooo much better. it doesnt get wheel hop and when you hit a bump, it doesnt wander like it used to. I still have to crank the T bars. hopefully this weekend or next. I've been hitting them with penetrating fluid every day to losen them up.

Here's pics( Finally!)

first-The TWO full size reefers @ 400# apiece

Second- no noticable change in ride height

Third and fourth- after install pics, I opted for the over-existing install to limit stiffness
and less lift. You can install them directly against the leafs themselves and use your current hardware

i put a set of 2000lb capacity helpers on mine.it rides better, doesn't wander into the next lane anymore when you hit a bump in the road, and it raised the ride height about an inch.no big deal.i made a u turn last week after installing them, and got into it because of traffic.the rear broke free, slid sideways, and back the other directionjust as if it was raining.the road was dry.until installing the helpers, she would not do this.i'll have to wait until we finally get rain to see about handling differenceson wet roads.
