oil pressure gauge

98 dakota 3.9 magnum was droping oil pressure, pulled pump,screen was pluged,cleaned it replaced pump but still when it idleing below 1000 rpm oil pressure drops to 0, give it gas and it goes up,????

It could be something as simple as your overall oil level. When you rev your motor up, what psi are you seeing? It also could be a faulty gauge. Try using a mechanical gauge to make sure the readings are correct.

Yea check the gauge, If the reading is correct then as long as you have oil pressure you are ok, I had a 78 Ford one time that had 60 psi but once she got hot she dropped all pressure and began the thrashing--(which was a spun rod bearing).

Mine did this for a bit. Than it went away? Im not sure what it was but as long as the engine is running it is probably fine.... Just something with the wires or such.

Make sure your oil level is correct, then definetly get a mechanical gauge to check it. If you search on here you'll see Dakota's tend to have low oil pressure when idle, but it shouldn't be 0. You're best bet would've been to buy a new pump and pick up tube and put those in.
