Default ECM question

Is it a common thing for these to go bad? Im at my wits end figuring out my cold engine stumble..new O2 sensors, cam pos. sensor, plugs, wires, rotor, cap, and a new coolant temp sensor. When warm it runs fine.Has to hit full operating temp,or truck wont pull over 2000 rpm's.Got a random misfire code, but it cleared itself.I used a scanner to watch the misfire count..they go up to 10-15-20 or more..some cylinders more than others(i did get a random misfire code). But then the scanner goes to all zeros, like the ECM resets itself. Then it starts all over.Is that normal? Is there a place on the net i could get the numbers i need to run the scanner and compare live data to what im getting? Its a 3.9 w/o air..manual tranny.

Sounds like a compression problem. Have you checked the compression on the cylandars?
