i have an 01 dakota slt 5.9, 2 wheel drive truck. now the service 4wd light is on, but when a scan tool is put on it, the scanner can't find the module. there are no noticeable negative impacts on the drive, but the light stays on, any ideas what it could be, i'm tired of people asking whats wrong with my truck.

 

You have to reset the PCM. Mine's done that twice and resetting the PCM has been the only wayI've found to shut that light off.

 

im a noob, how do i reset the pcm and will i have to relearn other things.

 

Disconnect the battery for a few minutes. That will reset the PCM.
