yesterday i took out my iac and cleaned it off it was absolutly covered in crud so it makes me wonder how dirty the whole throttle body is so next time im home im gonna take it off and clean it up and i was just wondering if i will need to buy a new gasket for it or if i can reuse the old one?

 

If the gasket (really kinda an O ring) is not leaking now, you will be fine keeping it. I did my TBawhile back, and I just leftthe "gasket"in the intake, andwipedthe exposed part with a clean rag. Just to make sure I had everything buttoned up ok after I had reassembled everything, I sprayed some starting fluid around the TB, and all the hoses and such to cheak for any air leaks.
