Hey all , I joined back in april when my mom purchased a 96 dodge ram 1500 , well as of last week I too joined the ranks of dodge with my purchase of a 2000 Dakota 4x4. My old winter car ( explorer ) was on her last legs i was out at the local vw dealership setting up for a vw show when i spotted this on the lot . went back the next day looked it over and took it for a test drive. one owner never wrecked etc. 80 K miles ext cab. 4wd cap , extra set of wheels tires for winter,. blue / grey twotone . 4.7L v8 for 10K . Im pretty happy with it so far . I havent been in a truck in a while since my s10 died 4 years ago lol . so im really enjoying this . one thing i really really wanna to is Dual exhaust I think it'll have a nice rumble to it hehe[8D]

nice looking truck and if you want a nice mean sounding exhaust that not a lot of people have try a hooker aerochamber. thats what i have on my truck and love it same 4.7 as you it sounds great just search hooker aerochamber on the forum and some posts leading to vids of my exhaust should come up...just a suggestion!

 

Thanks . Nice mine was 94 v6 5 sp with 184K miles just got to the point that i was putting more money into her then what i paid for her . Also did the dakota's come with steel rims for spares ? I looked under mind and it has a matching Mag wheel . So im thinking the PO popped a little extra dough for the mag spare lukcy me i guess lol . also they added a remote starter but ill be damned if i can figure it out . I push the aux button on the keypad but nothing happens . ? Thanks for the welcomes gang

Nice. That one is a '97 it had 85,000 when we get her. Sold it at 101,000 miles.But she still ran Problem free!

Have you tried replacing the battery in the remote for the remote starter?

with that remote start. try holding the button for 5 plus seconds.
