160 thermo

Default 160 thermo

ok hear is my ? i have a 180 thermo in my truck its awesome. i am puting some aluminum heads on my truck, with plans for supercharger/blower. im afraid of geting the heads to hott, so i was thinking of runing a 160 thermostat (used for towing) any one have thoughts on this. would iot be wise???

160 is too low. it will never get out of "open loop mode" 180 is the lowest I'd go

ya i would stick with the 180. if anything i would put a bigger electric fan in there to cool down the radiator. that would probably be the best thing to do.
