Earlier today i was going up a steep hill at WOT with a buddy driving behind me. when we stopped he said he smelled something like rotten eggs while going up the hill. any ideas on what this might be? cat partially clogged?

 

I cant remember for sure but i wanna say the battery, mabe someone else could verify?

 

yes, Batteries can smell like rotten eggs, (Sulfuric acid) I highly doubt that it would be a strong enough smeel for you friend to smell in another vehicle behind you. It's probably the cat.

 

I was racing my buddy acouple weeks ago, and when I passed him he said it smelled rotton. I never really thought anything of it. until he got in my truck and took off, it really smells bad lol.

 

catalytic failed most likely, so ive been told, any power loss?.. yet?

 

if it is a stick it could be the clutch. When a clutch goes it is the worst smelling thing ever.

 

when the cat is clogged it smells like rotten eggs.

 

just remove it if you can:d get some preformance out of it...

 

Get a magnaflow hi-flow cat and be done with it.

 

i know quite a few poeple that have had their cats go up on their dakotas.that would be my guess.
