Default Question on lifting

Hey everybody im new to this part of Dodge Forum i used to own a dodge avenger but passed it down to my brother (excellent condition) and now i own a 2000 3.9Dakota. to the point....its got a body lift already (about 3 inches) and 33 inch tires but the tires slightly rub on the inside of the well, nothing serious but still annoying as f*ck! but i was wondering if iinstalled new shocks (3 inch lift) would it actually be counted as a suspension lift or get rid of the tire rub? btw the shocks havent been purchased yet. Thanks for reading thispeeps. All comments are appreciated.
