hey, i jus bought my 98 dakota sport two weeks ago monday.. my locks go up and down while i drive with my headlights on at night it doesnt do it all the time but sumtimes..and also sumtimes when i adjust my backlight on my gauges n stuff my light inside the cab above the middle of the bench seat goes on and off for sum reason when the doors are all open.. i kno it might be a lose wire or shorted wire but does anyone have any idea where it might be?

 

Weird. I've heard of some of the newer Chryslers having issues with "ghosts" in the locks, but it was a problem with the CTM I believe. Not Sure what the problem with yours may be.

 

is the truck a automatic???

 

yes its an automatic and i also heard today that it could be the keyless entry remote reciever b/c the reciever is connected to the lights for the panic button and that there is prolly a short inside the reciever and that i should get a new one... the person that told me this also told me that i can take it to the stealership (dealership) and they can test it but take it else where to get it fixed so the stealership doesnt rip me off lol

im wondering if there is somthing haywire with the auto locking ...but i noticed its a 98..any aftermarket started ect?

 

nah everythings stock but the tires.. and sound system.. it has polk speakers and a pioneer hu
..i wanna get an intake and my uncle is gunna put an exhaust on it when my accord sells..
