but i was thinking, since the jeep liberty came with a 3.7 v6 (same as dak right) would the headers for that fit on the dakota? and if not, why?

 

I thought it was 3.9 for the dak v6's.

Also I see gibson and JBA headers on summitracing.com for the 3.9.

 

nope...i wish i had the 3.9 But in 2004 the Dakotas came standard with a 3.7 v6

 

3.7 is a better engine, more torque and almost the same hp. 5 i think nothing really noticeable...

 

my 2004 3.7 will run circles around my previous 1999 3.9.alot of people that i know who had the 3.9 had cat probblems.i haven't heard of this with the 3.7.

 

the 3.9 is 175 hp and the 1.7 is 210, and yea its supposed to be alot better engine, but its still a 6, and idk why they wouldnt fit, id try it if i could afford it

 

well i called JBA and they arent sure...so i called a dealership and they have different part numbers
but the gaskets are the same...so i also found out the dealership has a 2003 3.7l v6 liberty sitting in the lot. so i am going down tonight to try and take the best pics i can lol see if i can tell if its a major difference or a small correctable one. then i'll gauge interest on a group buy from JBA so they get some...
