I would also check the coolant in there. It might be more water than coolant. Coolant prevents over boil. So check it with a glycol tester, But My guess needs a good flush, I just flushed mine out a little while ago, and it could use it again I think.

@steve does it matter wether it's distilled water or not? I usally just put in regular water.
