It's a 1997.

I took the wheel off and All I can see that is wrong is the wheel bearing everything looks the same from each side. I think I will bring the truck down to a mechanic and get him to check everything don't know much about the ifs system or suspensions all together.

I can move the disc brake hub up and down side to side a bit but I don't see any bearings in there at all. I think they all shot out:S Lucky I didn't lose a tire lol.

Looks just like mine did when my ball joints went. Unfortunately I didn't know much about replacing them myself back then, so I ended up paying around $1,100 to have all four ball joints and the passenger side tie rods replaced, along with an alignment. If only I had found this site before all that happened.

Ouch. I don't think the ball joints are bad the part which connects to the cv joint is busted.

Wheel bearings are easy.....the ball joints have to be pressed in for lowers. The uppers you can do yourself, just dremel out the old ones and bolt on the new ones...I like moog joints myself.

I added some more pictures and It's definitely the Bearing. There was nothing there I might even need to buy a new housing for it. The triangle thing.

In one picture you will see a metal ring that is whats left of the bearing...

- LOOK at the damage (Do I need a new one? I think so)

the wheel bearing is a complete sealed unit. so it will come all in one piece. and they just bolt in.

i was about to say, if he herd metal flying off, why would it be a balljoint? lol.. wheel bearing. I would still check the balljoints though and if you have the extra cash just replace them. Better now instead of on the highway doing frontflips!
