Default removing fuel rails and other things

whats up guys. I got started on taking off my intake manifold today. The only thing left I need to do is remove the fuel rails and removing the alternator and the A/C thingy that I dont know what its called. Can anyone tell me how to do this without breaking something else? Thanks

make sure u depressuueize the fuel system before you take those rails off, look for a bleeder valve on the rail and cover it with a rag and push it in. next time depressurize the system first by pulling the fuel pump relay and just running the engine until it dies.. just makinf sure u did this cause no one deserves highly pressurized fuel shot into the eyes. and its an a/c compressor, keep your lines attached, therwise your going to need your system recharged, make sure you dont let the weight of the compressor tug on the lines, they may give causing a leak

There is a tensioner right by the Alternator. Pull this in towards you, it will slack the belt and it should be good to go.

there is a DIY writeup in the DIY forum on replacing the plenum gasket... it will have the info your looking for. it was on a 2000 ram but the motor parts are still the same.

The tensionertakes a 15mm wrench. Put the wrench on the nut on the front of the tensioner pulley. turn the wrech clockwise (towards the driver's side) It may be really hard to move at first, but should eventually break loose. It will not turn the nut, it will actually move the whole pulley in towards the engine, releasing the pressure on the belt.

Make sure you disconnect the negative battery terminal so when you take the positive terminal off the back of the alt. (10mm)it doesn't short out and blow the alternator fuse.

Release the pressure in the fuel lines like stated, (just in case)unbolt the rails and just pull up on them, the injectors will pop right out of the manifold. You don't need to disconnect the fuel lines from the rails, nor do you need to release the injectors from the rails, so fuel should not come out at all anyways. (Unless you wiggle an injector, or have one stuck open)

Unbolt the a/c compressor as well as the small clamp that holds the lines to the accessory bracket. Move the compressor and lines over to the passenger fender and just let it chill there on the inner fender. Be careful not to break any lines.

Everything else is very self explanatory. Good luck.
