Default Anyone that has a center console need help

I have a 2004 Dakota with bucket seats. I purchased a used Console that came from a 2003 Dakota. I can not get it to fit. It will not clear the arm rests. I need about 1 inch more space. Can anyone help. Cannot believe that dodge would make a different seat or arm rest just for trucks with center console. The console sits high enough that it is between the armrests. If I remove the arm rest then I will more space than I would like.

the console is supposed to negate the arm rests....hence the padded top. you could try to rig up some relocation brackets for the arm rest bolts, but im not sure how that would look/turn out.

You might find a way to shave the bottom of the console a bit so it'll fit under the level of the arms.
HOWEVER. The console lid may not open all the way with the arms in place. But what's the point of a center console you can't open, eh?
Sticky situation. Good luck.
