Default O2 sensor

i want to take the cat off my exhaust when i put headers and run true duals but i have been told that the O2 sensor will not read correctly without the cat. even if i put the O2 sensor in an H pipe. i have heard of a O2 simulator or MIL eliminator that is supposed to trick the O2 does anybody ever had any experience with this

I've had an o2 simm for awhile now without problems, but they'll be harder to find now since the government went after the companies making them.
