Send a message with your VIN to https://dodgeforum.com/showprofile.asp?memID=2784
His member name is Parts/Service. He works at a Dodge dealership and was able to pull the entire build sheet on my 2000 Dakota today. He might be able to do the same for you if he has a free moment. Let him know I sent you.

PS, he says that dealers sometimes get a bad rap because of a few bad apples. He's trying to change that at least for us members.

Can a vehicle with power door locks be retrofitted with the keyless entry?

I would just go to either Best Buy or a local car audio shop and get a Keyless entry system installed there rather than the dealer. Not only will it probably be cheaper, but an after market system will have more/better features than the factory keyless entry. Its pretty basic. Lock and Unlock and Panic. An aftermarket system will likely come with either remote start and/or a better security system, likely for a better price.

Guys dont hate me for saying this but never do it your self when it comes to wiring i live in alaska and i do autostarts, alarms, stereos etc.. for a living i see murderd cars all the time!!!!!!!!! (see wiring probs on this forum) + this truck has resisted door locks and independent door triggers. If your best buy (aka best try)is any thang like ours dont go. go to a go reputible shop ask to look at a install that thay have in their bayif their good they'll show you NO T-TAPS NO SCOTCH LOCKS NO CUT AND BUT CONNECT NO TWIST AND TAPE!!!!!!!!!SOLDER AND TAPE ONLY
