Hi.

I have a99 dakota black which is 110k on it.
The driver side of window didin't come upfrom thelast saturday.
I can hear the motor sound inside thedoorwhen the switch is pusing up.
What's wrong? What can I do? Do I have to go to a dealership or bodyshop?
Can I fix the problem by myself?

I have an '03 quad and I had to replace the window regulator. My problem was the cable broke some of the plastic guides and came off the track. I had to replace the window regulator to fix it. I did it myself and it took less than an hour. If I remember correctly, seems like it was around $180. I tried several junkyards and aftermarket vendors and couldn't find one for my model truck, so had to get the Mopar version. Hope that helps.

Pull the inside door panel off.
Remove the plastic weather-liner.
Check and see if the glass it's self has come off the bottom track. (Out of the groove).
Lower the track all the way.
(Might have to hold the glass slightly up and out of the way while doing this).
If,.. This has happened, clean the bottom edge of the glass.
Clean the inside of the track the best you can.
Use a two-part xpoxy to bind them together again.
Make note where the window it's self sat in the track prior
to cleaning the glass.
(You will be able to tell by all the dirt on the glass at the bottom where it last sat).
Mark the location at each end with a marker pen that won't rub off when you go to clean the glass.
It will help you put the glass back in right at the same location where it belongs.
After you mix your xpoxy up, put it in the track-groove and slide the glass down into it.
Roll the window up all the way & as tight as you can get it. (Allowing the expoxy to harden).
Keep the window rolled up for two days that way and it should be fine.
(Easy-fix if that's what happened). (Common-too).

Thanks for good information.
I will try it on this weekends and I hope to get a repair manual on the Internet.
Can I have it?
