whats up everyone. I got my stage one intake manifold for my 3.9 today, it looks pretty sweet because its all cleaned up and stuff and you can tell where they've ported and stuff. but anyway, the problem is, the one i got is different than the one i had on my truck. First of all the one from hughes has an egr valve, even though it does have a blockoff plate, and mine doesnt. there is a big hole behind the egr valve that it looks like something screws into, but i d ont know what it is. this part is not blocked off and mine doesnt have it. does anyone know what it is and if i can still use it or not? also there is a different number of vaccuum hookups on each side. I'll have to buy a bigger vaccuum hose for one of them because its on the wrong side, and it also has 1 extra vacuum hook up that mine doesnt have. I'm assuming that it can just be blocked off with a bypass nipple though right? Any help would be appreciated.

Probably double check the part number to make sure it isn't for the 4.7, 5.2, or some other engine.

 

I think you would tell if it was for the v8... it will have 6 holes versus 8.

 

lol yea. not to mention the 4.7's is plastic. im pretty sure the big hole in the egr area only goes to that blockoff plate so that shouldnt matter. as for the vaccum lines... i'll make it work.
